So I recently upgraded to Windows 10. I did a clean install and wiped everything. Just starting to get curse reinstalled now. I downloaded the Curse Client so I can start adding all my old addons I use back and it doesn't find WoW. I use the option to search for installed games and clent comes up empty. Do I have to wait for the entire game to install or is there some addon folder I can manually direct my addons downloads to? Its been a while since I had to manually install an addon so I don't remember exactly where the folder is. It's probably the easiest way to get add-ons. They install for you, it's searchable, and it checks for updates on its own. I would not do this. They edit ToCs, refuse to take down addons when authors request that they do. If you support addon authors, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. If you like c,ient, use Curse Client or Minion. Third-party players that client addon authors. I just had to do a total reset of Windows 10 due to Curse Client. Even after uninstalling Curse Client, it still kept trying to start. I went through all the steps on Curse Support including deleting the 2 folder in apps, and deleting Curse temporary files. Now I'm back up and running after a clean reset of Windows 10, and I will never use Curse Client again. Back to the old way of installing addons individually and putting them in the Addons folder. I have Windows 10 and curse client works pretty well. I am not sure what would be causing problems but it does seem like a good amount of people have issues with it. I'd say just make sure donwload have it updated and reinstall it if you are download issues. I really don't know what happened. It's like it got uninstalled and I had to reinstall it. I didn't do this manually but curse I reinstalled it was working fine. Also my shortcut icon for it some times is just the clieny box without the graphics. It still works when I open it in this case though. It's the only shortcut I have that does this. Curse is broken for me. I came back for Legion after a hiatus, and found that the new app failed to recognize that I had WoW installed. I went back to the v5 client, and all was well. Today, the v5 client started crashing upon start. To think I actually renewed my Curse Premium for this. I'm going to request a refund if there's not a fix within the week.
